The Chateau is a grand, oak paneled country house set overlooking the lovely Coombe Wood Gardens, yet just a few minutes’ drive from Croydon town centre. Established in 1978, and still under the same management, our friendly experienced managers will be pleased to help and advise you on all aspects of arranging your function, and our team of dedicated, skilled Chefs will be delighted to prepare a meal to remember.

Here is a selection of menus, but please bear in mind that if there is nothing amongst these that suits your requirements we could always arrange something especially for you. A Typical Drinks package starts from as little as £12.95.

We have four rooms available for private function, depending on the size of you party, and we will be happy to meet with you to discuss your requirements of answer any queries you may have.

terms & conditions

1) To make a booking we will require written confirmation and a deposit of £900 (less for smaller parties). Deposits are not refundable in the event of a cancellation.

2) When confirming your booking, we will need to agree your arrival time.

3) The final account is to be paid in full on the day of the function, or before. This must be by cleared funds i.e. credit/debit card or cash. Personal cheques unfortunately are not accepted.

4) Everyone has to have the same starter, main course and sweet. Vegetarians and children can be catered for by special arrangements.

5) The prices quoted are inclusive of V.A.T.

6) Service charge of 12% will be added to your bill.

7) The cost of the Chateau’s Resident Disco is £375.00 subject to availability (payable direct to him on the day of the function). Own Disco’s can only be allowed by special arrangement at a fee of £125.00.

8) Because functions are usually booked in advance, we reserve the right to increase prices. If we have cause to do so we will, however, Endeavour to keep any increases to a minimum.

9) We reserve the right to charge for the original number of guests booked.

10) Please note that customers with special needs should contact the Manager so these can be discussed prior to their arrival. The Chateau has disabled access to the Ground Floor and disabled facilities are located on the Ground Floor.

11) Our main Ground Floor oak paneled room is licensed for Civil Ceremonies for up to 90 people. The charge for the use of this room for a Civil Ceremony is £500.

12) Function Room Hire is from £50 depending on the size of the room required.
